Google plans to make PCs history | Technology | The Observer

I do not know the percentage, but are people using online storage already?  This is not new.  Once you have written a document, usually there is no reason to edit it unless for errors.  Most information we do store is on CD or DVD disk.  I would think the hard drive is used for personal storage for hardly much at all.  There might be one thing that it could still be used, and that is portable software.

Problem with portable software, if one's hard drive goes bad, then everything is lost.  With so many on the go these days, not all computers will have a USB port to plug into. Online services like GDrive is needed thing.  We are in the technology age everyone, we need to start living in it, than fear the constant changes.  True, we need to way the pros and cons to see what services are right for us, but we should be embracing them.  These companies are designing these things because there is a market for them.

How many could be using a computer on the grounds that they do not have the money to get the needed software for them.  Technology is not only becoming cheaper, but ready for use online more and more.  I for one am very excited over new things popping up constantly.  I would rather be using online services then go back to the old way of doing things on the computer.  Remember the 80s?  Low memory, all text, slow, system crashing all the time, etc.

With online services, the companies are the one responsible for upgrades.  This does not mean that our personal computer will be no more.  We have to use something to log onto the Internet.  Remember the old technology, WebTV?  We know we have to use a PC to go online and use and do all the things available.  I for one have been upgrading my video card every year.  That is technology for you.

Software + Services Customer Video

Believe it or not, we are better off having online services than you might think.  There are things in life that may never be done otherwise.  The fear of loosing control over other social networking services will not happen.  They are too big to be canceled out due to Google's GDrive or whatever.  Unless something pops up better to replace these services mentioned, they will continue to be used my millions of people around the world.

Bottom line, do not fear technology.  Embrace it fully.  It is simply a tool, and nothing more.  Do you fear a hammer or a screw driver?  Why fear a virtual tool?  Simple find out what works for you and use it.  That simple.

This article was so good, that I could have simply said nothing about it.  I was about to do so, but I realized that I can say this:  "In real life or a 3-D virtual one, anyone that wants to start a business needs to go by these simple rules.  The field is much different then in real life, but the ideology is about the same.

Think of it this way.  To have some kind of a display or things like in a computer fair, it does take a lot to set up in the real world.  It also takes a lot of money to do so.  In the 3-D virtual world like SecondLife, it takes less money to set things up.  This by any means an easy street.  Yes, you can have your display up 24/7 with or without a live avatar there to greet visitors, but it may not be all that simple to control.

Xerox Second Life Event Bridges Real and Digital Worlds

It is all up to how you want to interact with your customers, and how many customers you get on a regular basis.  It can be just as hectic to have a system going in a virtual world as it is in real life, if not more.  That is the power behind SecondLife.  Then things you can do in real life, you can do in SecondLife, plus a whole lot more.

Tell me one time you can raise a item in the air, and have it stay there.  Tell me one time that someone can be trained in the medical field without true interaction with the patient.  If I understand right, most real life medial training is done with dummies.  With SecondLife, nurses in training can get that extra reality of how to deal with patients of all kinds.  The best experience nurses can get is how to deal with difficult patients before they are placed in the field.

SecondLife does have a wonderful name because it is a second life.  One can be anything in this 3-D virtual reality:  male, female, animal, robot, Batman, Spongebob Squarepants, anything.  The ideology is the person behind the mask.  How you interact with others is the whole concept.  With other 3-D virtual realities out there, like World of War Craft, people are learning to work together as a team.  Something that no school or system as truly done.

For some, SecondLife is a first life.  For the ones that cannot walk or move like the average person can be just as successful in business as anyone else.  What is important in life is the mind behind the body.  See the similarities of real life vs SecondLife.  I just got through stating that it is the person behind the mask that is important.  What difference is that statement compared to the human endeavor?

3-D virtual reality is more then a giant step up from the 2-D websites we have today.  It is the ability to enhance our own live, our business, and everything else in our own existence.  We are the sum total of our thoughts and actions.  The world is using this technology, but the creation was right here in the United States of America.  That is why I do not truthfully believe that our economy is as bad as "no hope for tomorrow."  What I believe is that what we are going though is the growing pains of technology advancements.  When there are city or state governments or businesses that do not want use these technologies, then it can and has hurt a given society.  To go forward is to advance not stay seated while advancements pass you bye.

Virtual Reality - People Won't Need To Leave The House/Cell

That is what President Obama meant by, "We all must take part."  This is what it means to advance in the age we all live in.  This new technology, 3-D virtual reality, is right in front of us all.  We all need to take the needed steps to get on board.

Virtual Worlds News: Rosedale: Second Life Should Drop Age Divisions

Let's face it.  The Internet is not for children, but they do have the need to learn and experience it.  Why?  Children are our future.  Parents, law enforcers, ISPs, etc., should be there for children.  If children needs to learn about all of what the Internet is about, then how can they be safe online?

In all the security, age verifications, and all the child safety software, most teenagers can go around them.  To show age verification, it is too simple.  I mean it is too easy to give false information.  How can Amazon know if a child is buying something on their website?   They cannot.  A porn site that shows click here if you are 18 or older can be clicked by anyone under 18.

The only way truly for a child to be safe online if parents are there with them while online.  Parents can make this a family time then a "Oh No!  You want to go on that Internet with all that danger and evil!"  The Internet is not evil or dangerous.  The Internet is a means of communication.  With the fast growing of Social Networking, communication is a very big and important thing.

President Obama and Protecting Children on the Internet

Here is the most important thing, "Linden Labs and the 3-D virtual reality, SecondLife are in the United States of America.  Another words they are under the legal jurist diction of the law of the United States of America.  laws are to serve and protect.  They are not meant to take anything away from law abiding citizens.  There are not real security in age verification within SecondLife or any other services online.

The separation hasn't satisfied all observers for safety (Illinois Representative Mark Kirk just won his fourth term campaigning on, among other things, protecting children from "rape rooms" in Second Life) or pragmatics.

The only thing age verifications are good for are for political gains.  It does not protect children if they can use false information to cross the line.  In turn it is hurting business even the adult kind.  Illinois Representative Mark Kirk has a responsibility to protect children, but it cannot be done on the pretence of canceling everyone else in the process.  You do not stop child pornography or another child abusive acts by destroying freedoms of law abiding citizens.  That is the end result of Age Verifications in SecondLife.

Identity Verification in Second Life

If age is going to be a major problem, what age is right for children to start learning about the Internet?  The age of 18 or older is too late for the fast growing technical world we live in.  Children not adults needs to start learning about the Internet, but they need supervision while doing it.  Letting a child loose online is no different then letting them loose in any given city, big or small.  I can tell you this, the Internet is much lager then all the cities combined.

On the subject of "rape rooms" in SecondLife, as with any 3-D virtual reality, it is not physically real.  I agree, children should not be in sexual websites or 3-D virtual rooms, but if one can believe they never been to one, Go join that purple dinosaur, Barney.  The reality of it, they do go to these websites and other online adult services.  The mainly go there for the curiosity of it.

How many can remember their childhood when you were so curious in wanting to look at something or do something because you were told not to do it?  The problem with children, they cannot foresee the possible dangers of their actions.  That is why parental supervision is a must online.  When it comes to privacy and security of them and the family, then children have not real privacy.  This is not their fault, so parents do not stop doing your jobs.

Why is Technology the Winner?

Why do I think that it will be today's technology that will allow us to get out of our financial rut not only the United States of America, but the world.  First of all, what got the USA out of its historical financial depression?

Today, we can communicate in every point on Earth with little or no cost for us other then the price tag of using the Internet.  Decades ago, it would take a lot of money to talk to someone in different locations in the United States.  It would cost a lot more for an American to call on the phone to someone in a different country.  Now we can use many, many ways to communicate with anyone at anytime using the Internet.

Who could have imaging that Twitter would supercede new organizations in communicating in real time as it was happing on the attack on Mumbai, India?  I wonder how many more users are not on Twitter due to this reality?  Social Networking systems are constantly talking about Gaza and the trouble that place is having.  Due to the fast growing technology, people are communicating far beyond anyone could have ever dreamed.  All of this started with these social media services, but it grew because each and everyone of us wanted it to grow.

Twitter as a Business Tool: Book & Multi-media Kit

For once in history, the people of the world are speaking out and being heard.  Yes, there are a good number that have used the Internet for criminal behavior, but if we all use common horse sense, we can easily handle these individuals.  There is no reason for freaking out about it.  Crime has been around since the beginning of time.  No matter what tools we use in the future, criminal activity will continue as weeds grow in gardens.  Life will continue onward.  Just remember if you fall down, fall forward and get back up.

It is not just individuals that are using social networking services online.  Businesses after businesses are getting on board.  Believe it or not, the Internet went global due to business.  The Internet was first created by the United States Military, ARPA NET.  What no one every could realize, the Internet grew bigger and faster.  It all had to do with all of us around the world.  Over six billion people made this happen.  All one has to do is look at how big and how the Internet is being use today.

World Business: Access for All 20/06/08

Now everyone, and I mean everyone is using the Internet in just about every means possible.  All may not have a MySpace or a Facebook account, but they are socializing in one way or the other.  Due to this, business has found a way to truly communicate with their consumers in real time.  That is the whole purpose of the Internet, to communicate with others.

Now with 3-D virtual realities, all of us are able to communicate in ways never done before.  There are countless businesses using one giant 3-D virtual reality, SecondLife.  There have been a report of over 80,000 logged into SecondLife one day.  As of the time of this posting, there are over 67,000 inworld on the SecondLife grid right now.  There are people making real life money in SecondLife or the IRS would not be so concerned about it.

Collective Intelligence, Program for the Future, and Second Life

This is real folks.  I am not making this up at all.  I do not need to be a fiction writer on this.  Seriously, reality is a hard one to keep up with.  Technology is ready to be used by anyone that is willing to use it.  That is why I believe today's technology will be the winner in not only our economy, but in all aspects of our lives.

Blessed Be to Isis and you,

Addicted to Social Networks? | NBC Philadelphia

It is amazing to me how people can react to new things in life, and not knowing anything about it.  I can remember far, far, far back when personal computers first popped up in the early 80s.  What the critics said then are very similar to what they are saying about "Social Networking."

Now that nearly every household has at least one computer, all that silliness about computers taking over the world is gone.  Starting in 2001, social networking started, and it has grown and evolved in all sorts of ways since.  Just about everyone is using it in one form or another.  To say this is not healthy is showing lack of understanding of this new technology.

Documentary (Social Networking Online 1)

Social Networking in Plain English

Psychology is not an exact science.  How can it be?  Each person is different in just about every way.  Even twins are different in some way or the other.  If they were 100% the same, they would be talking at the same time, thinking the same things at the same time, etc.  It is proper for teenagers to learn how to use this new form of technology.  The reason is they will be using it when they get a career job, when they become adults.  Teenagers need to be very familiar with technology today.

Technology has not altered due to our economy situations, other then growing faster and faster.  The children of today needs to be apart of the technology of today, right now.  Technology is not evil.  How can a tool be evil?  I have stated this in previous postings, teenagers are for the first time learning how to interact with others and learning how to be  a team player then ever before due to social networking.

See how ignorant it is today for people to state that social networking is addictive in a negative manner.  Life can be addictive.  Does that mean we all should end our live right here and now?  DUH!!..... NO!!!  What the older or baby boomer generation needs to realize is the age we are in now is totally and completely different then how they grew up.  I call this Age, the Technical Age.  It is turning very fast into a 3-D Virtual Age.  There are tons of articles on this subject to show how fast 3-D virtual realities are growing.

Businesses of all kinds are using them as we speak.  Universities are using them also.  All walks of life are inworld on some 3-D virtual reality.  What is known about them today will be completely different on what we all will know about them in the near future.  This is the trend that is going on right now.  Ignoring it, denying it, be critical about it, etc., will not make it go away.

Online Verification: Who Can You Trust in the Virtual World? - BusinessWeek

In one of my postings of this month, I was very concerned with how Linden Labs was using their "Age Verification" methods.  Just the same, I do understand and fully agree with they should be doing this.  To my opinion, children should never ever be online.  Mainly due to what this article has said.

Kids' Internet Safety Alliance Mothers Online Movement

The Internet is much more then having people taking advantage of others.  That happens in real life, but we do not stop living our lives in the real world.  Articles like this one is not simply throwing out propaganda and saying we all should never use modern technology every again.  That would be ever so dumb.  As parents raise and train their children, parents should be with their children when they are learning to use the Internet.

Yes, I said, children should not be online, but I did not mean they should not be learning how to use it.  With so many reasons why they should be learning how to use the Internet, children needs to be trained on how to deal with the possible dangers of it.  Personally I have never been faced with anyone online that wanted to take advantage of me.  If I ever had talked with others online, I know they are online.  I would never want to ever meet them in person for any reason.

That is why all dating services are scams in every direction.  Think about it, believing a complete and total stranger sending you a message online saying, "I love you."  That is like opening an email that you know has a possible virus or some other destructive program that could damage your computer and opening it.  True, there are number of software one can use to scan for such things, but they are never 100% fool proof, no matter how much you pay for it.

Truth About Online Dating Sites

Either in a 2-D, 3-D Internet world, or even in real live, one has to be objective.  If you were in a public place and a person of the opposite sex came up to you and said, "I love you," would you believe that person and fall madly in love with that person?  No matter how genuine that person may appear, it does not mean he is telling the truth.  It is very true that not everyone is out to get you, but sometimes we must be on the alert as if they were.

No matter what your faith/religion one might be following, no on is required to believe in everyone.  There are many text similar to Jeremiah 17:5  of the Christian Bible that clearly states that trusting in mankind blindly and turning your ideologies away from truth and common sense is a very dangerous thing.  Trusting in your fellow man is not blindingly following him as mindless slave.  We are responsible for our own actions and not of others.  When children are at home living with their parents, the parents are the responsible for their own children.  Doing what they say is right and very health ideology of life, that if parent are parents and train their children as they should.

There is nothing more abusive towards a children then lack of parental responsibility.  Children are not a wind-up doll to get them to do anything you want them to do.  They are in the care of mom and dad for the purpose of training them to be adults.  When they are ready to leave home, they should have the proper knowledge of how to deal with all life's difficulties.  It is when the lack of parental training do so many are suckered into the snare of criminals of all kinds online and off line.

I highly suggest that age verification should be done at the ISP level.  Everyone that logs online either in public or in the privacy of the home, one should have to verify their age.  In the home when one has to log in by the same account, the account itself must be aged verified at the creation of the account.  When or if others in the the house hold use that same account, that person is responsible for that account activities.

Another words if a person that is 18 years or younger uses that account, the one that created that account is responsible for where that young person goes online.  I suggest that each family member has their own username and password.  With age verification is done at the moment of login, the ISP can control what content that account can see online.

When a person with an account that is under 18 years of age, will be blocked from seeing any adult websites, porn, hate, drugs, shopping, SecondLife, etc.  For public Internet activities, they can have it set up that no one under 18 of age can use the computers to go online without having a parent or some legal guardian with them at all times while using these computers.  One more thing, these public computers should always block all porn, hate, or other controversial websites.

It is always better to control things at the front gate then monitor everyone after then enter the compounds.  This way people like Linden Labs can allow full access to their customers and not have to worry about children entering their systems.  SecondLife has a great many wonders, but it is no place for a child to be in.  Having a child unattended online is no different then placing him/her in a large city like New York and letting that child roam free.

VerificAge - Making the web a safer place for children

These cities may have it wonders, but it also has very serious dangers.  Children does not have the capability to deal with these dangers alone.  At their level of brain activities, they will not be able to handle the complexities of life.  This can be true for adults new in being online.  Ignorance is a very dangerous factor for both children and adults.

When Obama becomes the next President of the United States of America, and he wants to use fully the Internet technologies, then he must make sure that safety online must have it check points when dealing with age.  It would be nice to stop all crime online, but let's face it, that is not possible.  Only mature mental people with the right knowledge of how to use the Internet properly can rightfully do things online safely and even profitability.

Death And Taxes: IRS Official Recommends Policy on Virtual World Transactions

Second Life: Making the Real World a Better Place

If SecondLife or any other 3-D virtual reality is going to make a giant leap on the falling economy, then taxes will have to be a part of it.  Taxes pays for things that our government provides.  In that we can rightfully say, "We are the government."  This may be true in a small sense of the word, but the United States Government is a Republic Government.  That means that the government is responsible in doing their jobs while law abiding citizens are given the free will, under the law, to live out their lives.

Paying taxes is a very good thing.  There is more to unemployment then not getting a pay check.  I call this a "financial circle."  This means when the worker gets paid, he can invest it in savings, spend it, give it to support organizations, etc.  Another words, the money is in a constant flow that will in turn allow the employers to pay their employees to start the circle all over again.

When we can have the money to pay our share of taxes, we get better roads, schools, and all the other things that our government provides for its people.  The work that is being done, gives jobs to the people in the community also.  There is more involved in this "financial circle" then just a steady money flow.  That comes to show you that money is not the core factor.  When the economy fails, it is has to do with very poor structure.

This is the purpose of this blog posting, and many like it regarding 3-D virtual realities.  If the conventional jobs are not out there, then why?  Could it be due to NAFTA and the power it gave large companies that allowed them to kill nearly 900,000 jobs over a very short period of time?  The question that may needs to be asked if the last statement is true, "Did the structure fail before NAFTA?  What structures did fail and how can we all including our government do to fix things?

Business of Second Life

part2 | part 3 | part 4

(The parts are in the right order in this posting, but it may not look that way on YouTube.  Someone goofed on YouTube in number order)

Believe it or not, many companies found that solution.  They are making tons of money right now in a very popular and very powerful 3-D virtual reality called, SecondLife.  If they are making that much money, then they should be paying taxes on it if they are bringing it tot he real world.  This proper and these businesses should be doing this voluntarily.  Sad to say, IRS has to be ugly in order for businesses, employees, and everyone else to due their rightful duty in paying their fair share in taxes.

It is true the exchange rate of moving virtual money to the real world is high.  No one gets 1:1 ratio of virtual money to real life money.  If that was the case, all of us would be billionaires.  I am hoping as more and more uses the 3-D virtual environment to improve life in the real world, then that exchange rate can lower to what it is now.  If that is the case, then it would be proper to pay the same amount of taxes we all do in real life.  If we are going to help improve the economy then that would be how to do it.

Right now, people are making money online.  How is a 3-D virtual reality any different?  There is not such thing as "easy money."  That is not what I am talking about.  All those infomercials are a load of lies and deceitfulness.  I am talking about using an advanced technology for businesses to make money in the real world.  This technology is a 3-D virtual reality.

Right now, SecondLife is the leading venue of this 3-D virtual reality.  I hope one day, more and more different systems will start popping up and become even greater then SecondLife is today.  Competition is the driving factor in a Capitalistic society, like the United States of America.  If one organization is the only leading provider of anything, they will in time slump back and stop progressing.  This is a constant aspect in life.  History has shown this to be true on all aspects of life itself.

For any form of 3-D virtual reality to work in the real world as far as our economy is concerned, then it must work on all aspects to function and grow.   Paying taxes is a very vital part of it.  Having that "financial circle" constantly moving makes all the difference.  That is why the United States of America has not fallen completely.  We can still function due to that "financial circle" still in motion.  Right not that circle has a few pot holes along its path, but it is still moving.

SecondLife begins adding Age Verification

First of all, I am writing this as a protector of the under dog.  I also strongly believe in the Constitution of the United States of America and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.  In that I am speaking out responsibly and properly as a United States Citizen on this issue of age verification within SecondLife and Linden Labs.

Identity Verification in Second Life

The law is simple, "Innocent until proven guilty."  I can understand that the Linden Labs has their legal fight to make sure they do not have minors in mature places in SL.  Protecting children is an utmost priority.  Just the same, holding an account after someone has created one and been in SL for a good period of time is too late to ask for age verification.  This should been done at the moment of creating the account, not after.

Freezing an account so Linden Labs can have the user of the account to show proof of age is a blackmail attempt.  That is illegal by all statures in the United States of America.  SecondLife and Linden Labs is stationed in the United States of America and they are required by all citizens to obey the law of the land.  I will say this and very clearly, "If Linden Labs does hold your account from being accessed inworld or otherwise until you given them what they want, talk to your Congressman/woman about this immediately!"

It is not your fault that Linden labs did not ask for this information after your created your account and been inworld of SecondLife for some time.  How long is never the issue.  Once you cross the gate, you are in.  Unless you have done something wrong, against TOS, or some illegal act, you are in the system. That is why police have road blocks, to stop or check someone at that point.

The Age verification is simply a means of making sure that the avatar that you do use inworld is run by a real person that is over 18 years or over.  If you talk to a policeman or some legal professional, they might state to you that do not give Linden Labs any private information, period!  Rightfully so.  The only time someone has the right to ask any personal information from you it is by an legal stature, like filling out for a job, to a doctor, buying things online (with a proper secure web page.  If you do not see a https at the beginning of the web page URL, then DO NOT give out any private information.), etc.

Every citizen in the United States of America and countries throughout the free world has the right to privacy!!  You can simply tell Linden Lab bye bye, or you can make a stand and fight this injustice.  Think about it, does any mature websites ask you for your private information to proof your age before they will allow you entrance?  There is one thing putting a road block stating that this is an adult website before going any further.  Let's face it.  How many do you think has clicked the button to go in even though they are under 18 years of age?

Maybe that is the whole point.  Children should not be online to begin with.  It does not take long for adults to learn to interact online.  You may be surprised how much baby boomers use the Internet.  Let's face it.  Putting a child on the Internet is liked dropping them off in the middle of New York City or some other large town all by themselves.  They can get hurt just as easy online as they can in real live.  In some ways even easier.

The issue with age online should be road blocked before they log online.  That way Linden Labs would not have to be concerned with any legal issues with under age users.  Yes, I can understand Linden Labs end of it all.  Just the same, they have not legal right to hold an account until the person behind the account given them what they want.  That is simply blackmail, plain and simple.

Until ISPs or whomever does their jobs in protecting children from going online in the first place, Linden Labs needs to have a better and legal means of verifying the age of the user.  If anyone from Linden Labs did that to me, I would right then and there write my Congressman about this.  If this ends up shutting down SecondLife altogether, then so be it.  Do not like the punishment, do not do the crime.

Pets and Planet Benefit as Kids Embrace New and Traditional Media at CES in Las Vegas (Consumer Electronics Show)

These 3-D virtual reality systems are not great because they may appear to be cool and fun.  These applications can be used to have fun, but they can do more for just about everyone in life.  Let me say it in another way.

When the Internet became public, how many believe that the Internet would not amount to anything?  Today, businesses are making millions upon millions of dollars by the use of the Internet.  There are more people shopping online and doing business of all sort by the use of the Internet.  So what makes these 3-D virtual realities so popular?  They are simply a humongous step up from the 2-D Internet that has made tons of money for people.

Of course money is not all that the Internet provides.  For the first time people that cannot walk or move around like the average person can finally do that with in the 3-D virtual environments.  Right now, SecondLife is so advanced that one can easily believe how real the surroundings can be.  It is so real in SecondLife that there is no limit to what can be done within this system.  That is why over a million have logged into SecondLife every two months or 60 days.

Companies have their own land in SecondLife, like Cisco System, Intel, IBM, Dell, Microsoft, Man Power....to name a very short few.  Colleges are starting to use SecondLife as well.  Many more schools have used the 2-D Internet very successfully.  Now with a 3-D Internet, or web3, schools can use this 3-D environment to teach a lot more.  Business are starting to use this environment for training their employees.  Medical professionals have used it.

Teaching in the Age of Technology

Ohio University Second Life Campus

Before, the medical professionals have used dummies to train students.  With a 3-D live interactive system like SecondLife, students can learn a lot more.  By a real person controlling the avatars and the whole entire scenario, the students can learn how to deal with a better understanding of the full real life goings on in how to respond with patients.  Without this 3-D virtual environment, there is no better way for medical students to truthfully interact with education on this matter.

People that cannot walk can do so in SecondLife.  There are therapeutic ideals to 3-D virtual reality.  In the aspect of people that cannot walk or function with all body parts in the real world, they can do so in a 3-D virtual environment.  Even though one cannot function physically does not mean their life is over with.  With this new technology, people can function with their minds and do things that they might not be able to do in the real world.

By any means these 3-D virtual worlds are a divorcement of reality or running away from it.  In all aspects, 3-D virtual environments like SecondLife can enhance the real world in just about every way.  Truly, there is no limit to the human endeavor when it comes to technology and the willingness to use it for the better of mankind.

I could if I wanted to present all aspects of how this new technology can benefit all aspects of life.  One is not going to fully understand this until they right now go out and experience this technology for themselves.  There are so much more to experience to fully understand all of what I have said in this blog posting and others.  As with real life, an instructor cannot teach a student everything in the classroom.  There are times that the student is going to have to get her/his hands dirty and get inside life itself.

There are no right or wrong ways in doing things in life.  Each one of us are different; though, we all needs to learn to work together.  These days in the job place, it takes thinking on everyone's part and teamwork.  The mindless drone type employment is gone, thank God.  Each and everyone of us needs to think on our own merit and be responsible for our own actions.  In this new Technology Age we all live in, we have to learn to behave a different way that was done in the past.

This new Technology Age is set before us to grab with both hands.  We are expected to hold on with both hands and hold on tight.  The ride on this Technology Age is a fast pace one.  New things have evolved at alarming rates.  Spite our economy, the Technology Age is still pushing forward.  It has not stopped or slowed down one bit.  That is why I strongly believe what we are going through, for the most part, regarding our falling economy is growing pains of change.

The United States and the world have gone through this in years past when the Machine Age came to pass.  We all have survived then, and we will survive once again.  With the endeavor of mankind, we all have strived to better ourselves spite all the catastrophes in life.  We simply evolved in something better and better.

Using virtual worlds and video games to teach the lessons of reality: Scientific American Blog

COOL!!  Finally science is seeing the possibilities of this new aspect of technology, 3-D virtual reality.  If you my readers do keep up with what I post on my blogs, I do write a good deal about SecondLife.  The future is already here with SecondLife.  Schools are using it.  Business are inworld.  In all aspect of what one may see in real life, it is being done in SecondLife.

In this new generation, where tons of students are into games, the old way of teaching simply does not work.  Most of the way school system taught was for the industrial age format.  Employers wants the students to be able think for themselves and work as a team.  They do not want a mindless body working for them that only follows orders.  They need them partake in all aspects of the business.  Games like World of Warcraft (WOW), learns these basic skills.

Games are not only fun, but the games of the future are designed to allow a group of people to work together as a team.  When I was in high school, we did not learn these things.  Team playing in the classroom was hardly mentioned or encouraged.  Today team playing is a vital aspect of a business.  Anyone can work in a factory.  In business today, it takes more then a proper education and skills needed to do the job.  So is SecondLife the key to learning these new things?

As I have stated, people that plays these videos games like WOW are learning to work together, and they could be from different parts of the world.  No time is history has people throughout the world every come together then by the Internet.  From first time the Internet has been introduced to a mass of people, things have popped up for the better in all aspects of life.  This does not mean that things can progress without technology.  I am simply stating what has blossom due to it.

I could have put endless amount of videos on this posting.  The ones that I have now truly do not do justice on all that is out there with 3-D virtual reality and all that technology has done for every human being on planet Earth.  As I have said the future is already here with SecondLife.  Now we all have to wait for what others will create inworld of SecondLife.  There are about 1070 video of the time of this blog posting on "education in second life."  There are things that can be taught in the classroom that can be done in SecondLife that might not be done in real life.  A good example would be Virtual nursing in SecondLife.  It is one of the 1070 videos listed on YouTube.  Science another great opportunity in learning while in SecondLife.

Remember that I talked about the important of team playing?  In SecondLife, one can be trained to perfect that concept, and be trained on many things while in SecondLife.  Here is a real life video on how important training can be within SecondLife.  Make sure you watch all four parts.  Using SecondLife for training is very effective and it cost a lot less then having the training session done in real life.  In some cases, it might not be as effective in real life.  Today the USA military does more simulations in their training then ever before.

No matter what part of life one may look at, there is a very strong possibility that 3-D virtual reality can be used.  The only limit to man's endeavors are the imagination of the one's behind the creation.  Linden Labs does not create these things for people and industries.  All creations inworld of SecondLife is created by the users.  That is what has made SecondLife so powerful these five years.  What will be happening in the future is in the hands of all that use SecondLife.
