My Best Advice About Social Media

Let's face it everyone, social media or social networking is growing and growing and growing.  It cannot said enough how important it is to use social media in all walk of life.  For business, it is ever so important to communicate with your consumers.  Who has ever wanted to write a complete on Wal-Mart and they do not have any means for us to do so.  It is important for all businesses to listen to their consumers even if it is a complaint.

I have said this before, and I will say it again, social media will replace the job resume and even the job interview if it has not do so already.  With the high price of gas, it is hard to find the money to drive to a location just for a job interview.  This is as important for the interviewer as the interviewee.  If time is money for a business, then surely businesses will want to use less gas.  Believe it or not, we all tell more about ourselves through social media online.  All the reader has to do is read a number of post, and they will sum up what kind of a person is behind the messages.

Just about all are using blogs, twitter, friendfeed, and other social media means to get their information out there online for all to read.  Why do people do this?  First of all, it very cheap or free, and it is instantaneous.  With the news on television, it takes time to process the information and present it on television.  We can get information about the phoenix probe on Mars before CNN or whatever news program can present it.  That is the power of social media.

As an armature writer as I am, I can write more and even present my stories online a lot quicker then I could in the conventional means.  At this time I am not making any money with what write, but I can do a lot more.  I am allowing others to see what kind of a writer I am.  After a good many sees what kind of a writer I am, they are more likely to buy anything I publish verses not knowing about thing about me before hand.  I am able to advertise my writing skills without having to spam or even pay for all that advertisements to get others to know how I write.

Making money or not, every writer wants to have readers and even hear from them.  Social media allows one to do that.  In getting a job that I worked hard at in my studies at Lanier Technical College in Oakwood, Georgia, I can get noticed of what kind of employee I could be before they even read my job resume.  There is more to getting a job then just an education.  It takes  character.  With social media, employers can learn about me then anything known to man before social media came into existence online.

This website, in which I am writing this blog posting about, has great information on why we should all be using social media.  As Walt Disney has the song plaid to us all, "A Small World After All, " we can not only bring everything together, but we can make our world larger then ever.  Global communication does not cause war among each other, but brings understanding then ever before.  That is what social media is all about.

Defining Exactly What Happens When Ice Freezes

Science is a very amazing thing.  Helen Keller said, "The more we know, the more we do not know."  How true it is today with science and technology.  With nano-technologies, things are happening that can put the best science fiction show down for the count.  It surpasses them and leaves them out in the cold.

Think about it, these engineers are going down the the molecular level of just about everything.  I would not doubt that these nano-technologies, we will one day cure all the major diseases.  There will be no more human suffering as far as health is concerned.  One day this will be possible.  No more Muscular Dystrophy (MS), AIDS, birth defects, etc.

In all of history of mankind, there is no more of a possibility of a "Golden Age" then the here and now.  This now will not happen again.  We live in the age of technology break through.  All of us has the ability to make a difference in how we think, react, and work together as a team on any aspects of our lives. The industrial age is dead and gone.  Yes, a lot of jobs have been lost due to factories going over seas, but we can recover from all that in a heartbeat if you focus on the here and now.

I wonder if the United States of America has been to dependent of industries in regards to our economy?  It is not easy to change one's personal life less alone a life in a society.  Just the same, we must do so.  New hardware and others wonders are constantly popping up on a day-to-day basis.  We have been in this technology age since the mid 70s.  It was when personal computers started to stick their head out that things started to really move for the age we live in today.

Now we have nano-technologies all over the place.  Ladies and gentlemen, nano-technologies are not just on the drawing board.  Some of it is already being used in the field.  One day, all of us just might be using these small wonders in our day-to-day lives.  Think about it.  Nano-technologies are not a science fiction aspect anymore.  What I have read about these technologies already, these small buggers have surpassed all expectations that yesterday's science fiction has shown.

Once we in the USA can start a new way for thinking, a new form of educating our children in schools, think outside the box beyond all expectations, then we can really do things beyond what we have been doing already.  What we, as USA citizen, once were in the 20th Century, is gone.  We now live in a different age, and we need to start thinking as such.  If we do not, then we might not be able to get passed our economy struggle we are in now, as of August 6, 2008.  I remember one of the Flintstones cartoon.  Both Barney and Fred was saying, "Think big, be big."  That is what we need to do with the age we are in now.

Age Matters on Social Networks

This is a great article on social networking.  I have read it is also called social media.  Whatever it is called, it is a networking of individuals and even businesses communicating with each other on a personal manner.

The big etiquette in social networking is attitude.  Who wants to socialize with a jerk?  If you noticed from this article, gender is even mentioned.  Finally!!  Gender in our day-to-day lives should not be an issue either.  How we talk to one another is merited by that same word, "attitude."

I think that is one of many reasons why SecondLIfe is so big over the five years it has been online.  One can be a male, female, animal (furry), robot, etc.  It does not make a difference at all.  My avatar inworld (SecondLife) is a female, and I am a male, by the name of FraterPhoenix Finesmith.  I also have a good number of other avatars that I use.  If I could not change my appearance in SL on the dime, then I would not be in SecondLIfe.  This 3-D virtual reality is a means of expressing creativity in just about every way.

Before I go on, let me stop right here and say about all the psychological junk that you may read or hear about is just loopy.  Know one has the right to say to you that you are wrong by doing this or that.  There is nothing wrong, perverted, immoral, or whatever words that are being used to say that going on any social networking systems like SecondLIfe, Facebook, MySpace, and many others will cause you to divorce yourself from reality.

Reality is what you make of life itself.  Online social networking is a means of extending one's life.  It is not a destruction of it.  People can make an honest living with all forms of social media.  They also can fail in business.  It is not the tools that fail a business, but the attitude of the business.  See, one cannot get away from that word, "attitude."  It is the framework of all aspects of our lives.  Either online or whatever from or living life, your attitude will either make you or brake you.

Either you are going to use online social networking, or you are not.  I have read that it is important for a business to use today's online social medias.  After reading more about it, I have to disagree with that.  Not all businesses needs to use the newest tool that presents itself.  If communicating with your consumers is a very important thing, then yes, using social networking is very important.
