From what I have been reading, CMS is constantly growing and changing before I can complete this sentence. This new form of Internet desing is not a fad by any form or fashion. If what you see today is old or gone tomorrow, then it is due to the fast growing Internet commerce.
That is right. For the most part, business is the ruler of the Internet. They do not own or control the Internet, but they are the reason why the Internet is so vast and growing like no one's business. I do not know the statistics, but if one would do a report on the percentage of only individuals online, then I do not think it wold be half of what the Internet is today.
Yes, there are a lot of social aspects online, like YouTube, MySpace, Yahoo IM, and many, many others, but what makes the Internet truly be what it is today in the 21st Century is a lot more. Actually it is the combination of social networking and business that make a giant portion of what we all know of the Internet.
In the early 80s, who would have thought about blogging? When the first Internet started for the public there was bulletin boards (BBS). Right from the start, we started to share things online. Now with multi-media, we can do so in all its spender. Now, there is nothing that really cannot be done online. I think that we have already surpassed a great deal of science fiction of yesterday.
Schools needs to do their best in keeping up with all vast and fast growing technology world we are in. Business needs employees that have been trained in the technologies we have today and what will be in the future. This is a lot for schools to accomplish this, but it must be done. Schools that teach on technology of yesterday, WILL NOT get these students started on a promising career. If it is more then 5 years old, then it is considered obsolete.
Most if not all web sites are desiged in some form of Content Management System. If any websites are static designed, then it usually designed by a small business. The other businesses has a big and complex website. CMS makes that complexity into something simple. Not all employees will know that much about a computer, but every department will be responsible for their part of the whole of the company's website. If students are not trained in this fast but important system, then they will not be working in a career job.
